Sometimes not only the weather on a wedding day is extraordinary. Also the people are.
Whatever you expect from a winter wedding in Switzerland, you might be wrong. Winter in Switzerland doesn’t always mean 1-2 meters of snow and temperatures below zero. As tourists usually think. And not all of Switzerland is covered with mountains by the way. This is another misunderstanding.
So, this wedding was a typical Swiss wedding in the way that it didn’t take place in the mountains. And there was no snow either. Even that the wedding was in mid December. On the other hand, there was a lot of untypical, extraordinary details to enjoy as a photographer on this day. Not only was it a very small, intimate family wedding, taking place at the wonderful monastery Kloster Fischingen in the eastern part of Switzerland. There was also no alcohol served at the reception or at lunch, but some cans of Red Bull were always available for the bride & groom.
I can only say I spent a wonderful couple of hours with some very kind people. And in the end that’s what it’s all about. It’s all about the people. It’s all about LOVE.
